COLLECTION FOR
HAITI This weekend there will be a second collection taken at all the
Masses at Saint Bernard Church for Saint Therese Parish in Gaspard, Haiti.
These special collections for our sister parish in Haiti are held every
other month.

BUFFET BREAKFAST - The Rockport
council of the Knights of Columbus will host their monthly buffet breakfast
this weekend, Jan. 1, serving from 8 AM to 10:30 AM. Public
is invited.
MEDICARE PRESENTATION
Jan. 3 at 10 AM in the School lower level Conf. Room. Enter
through the door facing the Rectory.
SAINT BERNARD CATECHISTS: Your
next meeting is on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 8:15 AM in the formation office
on the second floor of the parish office. Do not forget to ask a parent to
fill in until you get there at 9:00 AM and please make a special note for
yourself as a reminder.
SAINT BERNARD SOCIAL CONCERN
COMMISSION: Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 1:30
PM in the formation office (second floor) in the parish office.
YOUTH NEWS
MSYM CAROLERS-Thank
you to all the youth and parents who took time out of their busy schedules
to help spread a little "Christmas Joy" to the residents of Miller's
Merry Manor and to several of our parishioners in Rockport. Several of the
recipients have expressed their gratitude and just wanted to say, "Thank
You!"
FIRST EUCHARIST preparations in
January: Parent meeting is Jan. 10 at 7:00 p.m. for St. Martin and
St. Bernard Parishes. The parish rotation for this meeting is St. Bernard
Church in Rockport. The First Eucharist Enrollment for the children who
attend St. Bernard School is Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the 8:05 AM School
Celebration of the Eucharist. The First Eucharist Enrollment for the
children who attend Wednesday and Sunday Religious Education will be Sunday,
Jan. 15 at the 9:00 and 10:30 AM Masses.
REACH WEEKEND Jan.
21-22, 8:45 AM.-3:45 PM.. Do not forget to leave verbal confirmation at
the parish office, 649-4811, on line 3 (Mary Jo Ressel), if you will be
attending. If you still need to fill in a form, there are some blank ones
in church. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 18 by 1:00 PM
which includes any forms and/or verbal confirmations. You may put medical
releases in our outside mailbox of the parish office at any time of the day
or night by the Wednesday deadline.
MSYM Cancellation- the Jan.
15 meeting has been canceled & rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 29
from 9:00-10:15am in the Saint Bernard Gym. All middle school age youth of
the parish are invited to participate. Breakfast will be provided.

PILGRIM VIRGIN
STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA will be at the Mary, Help of Christians
Parish Center on Jan. 5 from 6-8 p.m. EST. Rosary, Audio-Visual
Presentation and Conversation. Bring your religious items to be touched to
the Pilgrim Statue. Modest attire is deeply appreciated.
SCHOOL CHARITY AUCTION
Will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006 at Santa's Lodge
beginning at 5 pm CST. The theme isWhen the Saints Go Marching In
Mardi Gras Celebration." We have received some great auction items
but will need lots more, so if you have any ideas, please let the school
know.
