Curriculum

Our full day, year round child care program incorporates preschool at no additional cost.  We base our preschool activities on The Creative Curriculum® and on the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children from Birth to Age 5.  Through play and experiences, children are introduced to the following seven academic areas:  English/language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and health, music and visual arts.

Of course, we also work on socialization and self-help skills and give the children lots of TLC.  We believe that respecting the children and teaching them to respect others is essential to their development.

We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Our facility is inspected by this State agency to assure that we serve wholesome, nutritional and balanced snacks and meals. We offer the children breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

All staff members are trained in Infant/Child/Adult CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions & Blood Borne Pathogens, Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards and in developmentally appropriate practices for preschool children. The Director and lead teachers also participate in at least 12 hours of continuing education in early childhood each year.  A background check, drug screening, and abuse & neglect check have been run on each staff member.
